Dewar Dynamics Team: Enhancing Your Experience
This summer marks an exciting transformation as Dewar Dynamics launches a new era as the campground operators, blending outdoor passion with community-driven innovation. Plans for this summer include camp site and firepit upgrades. Viewing benches throughout the park. An enhanced website with a modern booking system for both your campsite and your boat berth at the Mikinaak Marina. (inspired by the snapping turtle that lives there). All team members have been working in the film industry but are taking a hiatus this summer to focus on bringing their creative energy and logistical expertise to Anicinabe Park, where they'll help crafting unforgettable experiences for visitors.

Chief Camp Officer
Heather Campbell-Dewar

Heather’s all about making your stay feel easy, welcoming, and a little bit like home. With a background in customer service, tourism, and event planning, she knows what makes a getaway special — and it’s usually the simple things done really well. She loves helping people connect with the places they visit — whether that’s pointing you toward a favourite local café, a quiet walking trail, or a must-see spot you won’t find on Google. More than anything, Heather just wants you to have a great time, soak up the local vibes, and leave with new favourite memories.
Park & Campground Operations Manager
David Markham

Retired Phys. Ed. teacher? More like the ultimate outdoor legend. Known as the “grandfather of triathlon,” David’s been shaping the sport for decades—pioneering associations, organizing international events, and basically inventing “endurance goals” before they were cool. Between hiking the 900km Bruce Trail (casual, right?) and canoeing the historic voyageur route to Hudson Bay, he’s basically got “adventure” as his middle name. David is also a DIY enthusiast, and repairing and fixing are in his DNA. Always wearing a tool belt and a smile, David is always checking for opportunities to improve, repair, or create something new around the campground. His proactive approach ensures that no problem goes unfixed, embodying the spirit of "if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right
